The Gateway Burnett Heads will be situated at the mouth of the Burnett River, on the shore of Burnett Heads Boat Harbour. The sheltered north-facing marina will provide for easy deep water access with wide fairway distances and will be protected by a large break wall offering safety from inclement weather. The position of The Gateway will be the first marina accessible to boats entering into Burnett Heads / Bundaberg, therefore making it a ‘gateway’ to Bundaberg and the region. Bundaberg also receives the largest number of custom clearances of leisure craft from international destinations to the East Coast of Australia, making it one of the major gateways into Australia.
For visitors, the city of Bundaberg is just 15 minutes drive from The Gateway and Bundaberg Airport has both Virgin Australia and Qantas flying directly to and from Brisbane daily.
