Burnett Heads is an idyllic Queensland coastal town, nestled along the Coral Coast and is located 16 kilometres north of the regional city of Bundaberg. It is the gateway to iconic wonders of the world… the Southern Great Barrier Reef, and Fraser Island.. the world’s largest sand island. Burnett Heads is most readily identifiable by the two historic lighthouses that dot its coastline. The nearby Oaks Beach is a pristine 200 metre long stretch of beach, safe for surfing and swimming with many choosing to fish off the rocks and groyne which is ideal for deep water fishing.
The Gateway will be situated at the mouth of the Burnett River, on the south west short of Burnett Harbour. The sheltered north-facing marina will provide for easy deep water access with wide fairway distances and will be protected by a large break wall offering safety from inclement weather. For visitors, the city of Bundaberg is just 15 minutes’ drive from the Marina and Bundaberg Airport has both Virgin Australia and Qantas flying directly to and from Brisbane daily.
The 6 million dollar recently developed Burnett Heads village centre lies just minutes from The Gateway where you will find shopping and dining, along with essential services to meet the needs of this growing seaside community.
